The organizers of the groundbreaking Art, Music and Tech festival – XOOXITY have decided to postpone the event featuring the likes of DJ Fresh (UK) and Chase and Status, due to reasons which affect the safety of party-goers and organizers alike. Please see the official statement released by Hilltop Live below…
“With a month to go till the launch of the annual XOOXITY festival, the organisers have taken the difficult decision to postpone the event until post the national elections. The venue for the JHB edition, Mary Fitzgerald Square, comes with a set of challenges to run big events safely. The organisers have committed to a massive security roll out in this area through the dedicated “Gig Safe” program, however some of the surrounding guarantees and support we were hoping to achieve simply did not materialise. We would therefore rather err on the side of caution with this project and launch it when all partners are aligned and capable of giving it the support it requires.
All tickets bought will be refundable or useable in future. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for details on how to go about this.
Apologies for the inconvenience guys, we are/were as excited as you about this project.”
