Mieliepop Boutique Music Festival is back in 2016! We’re offering a 3 day camping experience with 50+ live acts on 3 stages at a 1 of a kind venue with food stalls, hot showers and lots of additional outdoor activities.

When you think Mieliepop, think: Great music talent, gorgeous rivers, rolling fields, squeaky clean infrastructure and incredible entertainment. Crystal clear waters, green hills, lilies and magical caves set the scene for our 3 music stages, surrounded by a massive lake and pools to keep you refreshed and energised all day long.

Restless feet are kept tapping late into the night at the electric cave without disturbing the early-to-bed campers.

Oh Mixed Apples, please send me to Mieliepop Festival.
I don’t want to stay home and watch TELEVISION when I can see Albert Frost instead.
Send me where I won’t be around SLEGTE MENSE but in the crowd with Bittereinder.
I know that there’s NO PLACE LIKE HOME but I’d rather watch the Black Cat Bones.

Oh Mixed Apples, please send me to Mieliepop Festival.
Take me OUT OF THIS TOWN to watch The Plastics.
To create a SLEEPLESS CITY with The Tazers,
To dance the night away with my CRAZY FRIENDS while Fuzigish plays.

Oh Mixed Apples, please send me to Mieliepop Festival.
OVERWHELM me with the sultry tunes of Bye Beneco.
Let Blazin Gooch turn me into a TECHNO JUNKIE,
So the New Academics can send me straight OFF THE RAILS.

Oh Mixed Apples, please send me to Mieliepop Festival.
Let me don my DIRTY CHIQUE for We Are Charlie.
The December Streets make me want to DANCE WITH SOMEBODY,
While Grassy Spark leave me with this FEELING THAT I JUST CAN’T SHAKE.

Oh Mixed Apples, please send me to Mieliepop Festival.
    It would make my year.

Reason 1, its my birthday weekend
Reason 2, I’ll beg like Kanye if I must (I have no shame)
Reason 3, I have a lame joke about mielies: How many mielies does it take to change a light bulb? MIELIE-ONS
Reason 4, Ill give my other ticket to someone that doesn’t know anything about the festival and expose them to their future favorite event of the year.

  3. I would LOVE these tickets! I’ve never been to a Mieliepop before, but I LOVE music and I love festivals sooo much. This will also be my boyfriend’s first music festival, so I am really excited to show him a good time 🙂 🙂

  4. Stefan says:

Hi I was so heartbroken when Mieliepop was canceled last year, having heard only great things about this festival and it would have been the puurrrfect way to celebrate the end of exams.
But I’m super stoked that its back for 2016 because
My girlfriend will be visiting South Africa around the same time as the new date and my mission is to get her as many band signatures on one shirt as possible, to give her the ultimate South African festival souvenir.
So please help me pop her festival Mielie!!

  5. Chanelle Grobler says:

This would be the first festival of the year and what a beautiful one at that, this is super close to my birthday and would be an amazing way to celebrate. This festival features so many cool things that you’d struggle to find anywhere else, from a panorama fit for a J.R.R. Tolkien novel, the lake, a forest and a cave that can be raved in who wouldn’t want to go! And then let me not forget about the music, the wide variety would have anyone’s head spinning. From old school favourites like Fuzigish, Mr Cat & the Jackal and Tidal Waves to hard bass hitters like HAEZER and then some awesome swing sets from the great Michael Lesar. These are just a few I know, not even counting the acts I’m keen to see for the first time and find some new favourites!

I need to win these tickets because I simply need to rave in a cave before I die and I feel that this is my chance to fulfil that beautiful dream.

Young unsuspecting fan girl who`s only wish for her 21st ( which just so happens to fall on the 20th of march) Is to go to Mielie Pop! Frolic in the streams all day and dance my feet rough all night, accompanied by my best friend Caitlyn Hattingh and the craziest SA lineup.

    Make dreams come true, PLEASE!

  7. Caitlyn Hattingh says:

    Dear Mixed Apples

My best friend, who happens to have the same name as me, is turning 21 during the Mieliepop festivities. A ticket would not only be the best present I could ever give her but the coolest jol too! Please be our Birthday Santa. We will love you forever.

    Kind regards
    The Kaitlyn’s
