firstly i hope i am not too late to win these tickets!! As awesome as the music always is, my highlight would have to be the comedians, mainly cause if it weren’t for them making me laugh i’d probably have quite a beer belly! Plus there’s a reason Pretoria’s Awesome begins with a P and an A because of Park Acoustics.

The last Sunday of every month’s always the best day of my entire month. Wanna know why? It’s Park Acoustics day! I get to go back to my happy place and spend a blissful day listening to some of SA’s best artists (especially this month, the line-up is enough to make any fangirl groupie’s year!) with some of my best friends. I can’t wait for the 28th! =D

    Spring is upon us,
And perched on a hill is
    A symbol of days gone.
Of tiresome toes in blistering heat.
We live for the moments that make us forget,
    That life is for laughter,
    For music,
    For friends.

But we are brave enough to remember that The sound reverberating in the savanna.
The beautiful acoustics in a park.

What could be kiffer than the Kiffness?
Sweeter than Bittereinder on a hill?
    Or realer than the Plastics?
No nearer the sea bring us a Beach Party!

Get me to Park Acoustics so I can remember what its like to live in the now.

Park Acoustics, is my little piece of paradise on a sunday, absolutely all my friends go (fron jhb and pta) and we all relax in the sun drinking a couple of beers and listening to everything from Jeremy Loops to Al Bairre to St Lucia and back again. It’s kind of like family lunch for us and park acoustics made it happen. It’s my happy place 😀

Park Acoustics is such an amazing event, it always gives me the chance to recapture the feeling of Oppikoppi, by bring amazing music and awesome people together for one day of epicness in the sun. My fondest memory of Park Acoustics was seeing Fokofpolisiekar at the Botanical Gardens but actually falling in love with New Town Knife Gang’s music when they came on. Park Acoustics gives you the chance to discover new music you would not have heard anywhere else while still enjoying the more well known artists. It’s the perfect way to end September and celebrate spring! 🙂
