TIMO ODV has released the music video for his latest single, DANCING AGAIN, taken from his debut EP, ‘Origins’.
The follow up to the first single from his chart-topping release, ‘Make You Love Me’, the new single was actually meant as an intro for the EP and his sets. However, thanks to the welcomed feedback from his fans, he decided to rework it slightly and release it as a single. He found the inspiration for the song one morning at 1AM and set out on a mission to get back to doing exactly what he loves without a care for commercial appeal. The track however hasn’t fallen short of expectation and has been trending on the Shazam Top 10 since being sent to radio.
The music video was shot and directed by the team from Blacksmith Video Production. The location for the shoot was the middle of the Johannesburg CBD and lasted around 12 hours until 6AM, shooting through the night to capture the beauty of Jozi at night, with the final shots taking place when the sun was already coming up. The video is also one of the first in the country to use a full 360 degree video rig.
“I would describe the video as being dark and edgy, the perfect fit to the song. We made sure to include a DJ scene in the video, since the song is about me breaking away from being known as a singer and showcasing my producer side. The video also feature a lot of interesting looking people. I am super happy with the end result; it shows me doing exactly what I want without caring about others’ expectations.”
