Meet Dane Steinhobel (far right)
Local indie alternative band, Shout Hey, recently announced a line-up change ahead of their second nationwide tour, which will take place from 13 – 31 January 2015. Kickstarting today at Cool Running, Benoni, Johannesburg.
The guys from Shout Hey have been fairly quiet since their July 2014 release of the single, Word of Mouth, apart from their debut Oppikoppi performance and a little September Cape Town tour. But alas, all has been revealed. The introduction of the new face of the band has triggered a change in the winds at Camp Shout Hey, and they’re going on a full-on countrywide tour to show it.
Meet Dane Steinhobel, 23 year old from Benoni, he will be joining the fold as the lead singer, taking over the role previously shared by co-vocalists Tim and Matt. Dane holds a degree from the University of Pretoria and works for creative consultancy and production house, Run Jump Fly, along with December Streets frontman, Tristan Coetzee. His addition to the band has already sparked interest from Shout Hey followers, and many are excited to hear the new influences in their music.
Appropriately named, the “New Horizons Tour” will see the now four-piece band perform at venues in and around Gauteng and along the coast, featuring both acoustic and electric shows (see dates below).
