Rocking for Rhinos – Party for a Cause and you can HELP

The rhino, one of South Africa’s most beloved, majestic and iconic animals needs your help! As we all know there is a very serious and fierce threat of extinction by poachers who are killing our dear rhino for “medicinal” purposes, this problem is very real and needs to be tackled head on. The good folk at Rocking 4 Rhinos are trying to make a difference by raising funds to help combat the poachers and the trade of rhino horn. The annual ROCKING 4 RHINOS festival is an initiative to raise funds for those for who are actively fighting for this cause. YOU CAN HELP

Rocking 4 Rhinos festival will be taking place later this month and all proceeds will be donated to certified anti-poaching organisations such as Protrack anti-poaching unit (see them in action here) and Bongi’s Quest (an educational campaign aimed at teaching local children within the Kruger Park the value of protecting the rhino and avoiding involvement with poaching).

“We are thrilled to be putting on our second annual event in support of a cause that is close to my heart, as I am sure is the case for many South Africans. The richness and diversity of South African wildlife is our heritage and one that needs to be protected.” ….. “For a unique and extraordinary animal like the rhino to be hunted and driven to extinction, for the sake of a ‘medication’ that has been proven to have no effect whatsoever, is simply unacceptable” – Jaqui Sive (director of Rocking for rhinos)

The event is a two day experience where concerned citizens can party up a storm in the name of making a difference. The weekend promises to be filled with good vibes, entertainment and activities for all! With a line-up of local muso’s which will have the crowd delighted and dancing the day away. These acts include Crash Car Burn, LCNVL, The Sunday Punchers, DJ SoulSista, DJ Costa and more.
