MA: Hello guys, it is such a pleasure to be featuring you on our site!! How are you doing today?

Nice to be here… In the comfort of our studio.

MA: Before we get started, can you please give us a short background on who Roxton Met Herki is, how you met and how you got involved in music?

Well Roxton met Herki in a bar… We still make a habit of doing just that. We hail from the darker South African Metal days and found the light through what we like to call “Nu-Folk”

MA: Where do you guys take inspiration from in your “sound”?

If what you’re asking is what music has influenced our creative spirit… then… Regina Spektor, Tallest Man on Earth, Tool, Enya, Rage Against The Machine and Lady Gaga. But mostly of course it comes from the music inside. 😉
MA: Our local scene has been growing positively over the past few years… What are your thoughts on our local music scene at the moment and if there is anything you wish to see happen differently?

This country is brimming with talent, what we need is for all musicians of every ilk to support each others endeavours .

Music has always been a powerful tool to promote change, self empowerment or spark entire movements. If music is written with the intention to inspire and spread a positive collective consciousness, we believe the industry and us as a nation will improve along with the rest of the world.

MA: Are there any local acts that you think need a special mention?

Definitely! The Young Folks are doing great work. Dave Knowels the flute-loop-minstrel. To name but a couple.

MA: You are part of the amazing line up for the MALKOP festival … are you guys excited for this gig? What can we expect from your set?

Meh… NO just kidding! We were very excited to hear that we are on the lineup. In fact a whole bunch of our mates sold their Daisies tickets to make it to Malkop this year. We believe its the second year running and we hear only great things from last year.

MALKOP SUMMER ROCK FESTIVAL 2016MA: Anything that you guys are currently working on that we would be interested in hearing about?

Why yes.. Thank you for asking.

We have are currently at Valve House studio’s, recording our Debut album “Slightly Ajar” which will be available in February. We will be performing some of those new tracks for you at Malkop.

MA: Where can we follow you on Social media?
