Its lovely to see so many new riders on the scene pushing themselves and wanting to progress. Another young gent that we had a chance to interview ahead of NAZ JAM #3 tomorrow, is Robert Davies, who resides in Gauteng. Take a look at what this young man has to say:
MA: Hi There, nice to be chatting to you gent!! Tell us about your journey to where you are today, a little bit of background on how you began riding BMX?
It all started with seshing with my Bro and his friends then we started going to chapel and other parks where we met new riders and heard about different parks and comps.
MA: What has influenced you over the years to keep pushing and progressing?
It’s mostly been about how much fun you can have chilling and riding with friends and making missions to ride.
MA: What type of rider would you consider yourself as?
I like to mix it up and not stick to one thing. More surfaces more fun!
MA: What has you most excited about our local riders and how the sport is progressing to nights never seen before in South Africa?
I’m amped on the variety of styles that we have in our country this means there is lots to learn from
MA: To date, what has been your best gig / achievement as a rider?
3rd place at the Evals street jam at YBF. and my street edit from last year made it to the come up bmx website the link is here http://vimeo.com/m/80778094
MA: We last saw you up for the EVALS JAM, which you had a solid day of riding!! You enjoy the event?
I’m amped on all comps cause so much crazy stuff always goes down
MA: You will be making your way up to PTA for the NAZ Jam 2014 this weekend, are you amped for this comp?
Shout out to Tyrone for making NAZ jam happen they always fun!
MA: What can we expect from you at the Jam?
I’m keen to bust some turndowns

MA: You have been in the scene for many years, is there anyone that you wish to thank for what you have achieved thus far?
My parents and James my brother, for driving me and the crew around almost every weekend (Armand Landsberg, Kyle Davey, Nick Van nie kerk and Gareth parrotcheese)and everyone else involved in my riding.
MA: Where do you see yourselves in 5 years time?
Hopefully I will have my pluming trade and try travel and ride way more.
