Hello Ambassador creative conference is back for round 2


Last year we saw the inaugural Hello Ambassador conference taking place in Pretoria, it was the first event of it’s kind in Pretoria and they have decided to do it all over again. The aim of this conference is to create a platform where emerging artists, creative entrepreneurs and industry experts can meet and network, To promote local South African talent both nationally and internationally, As well as inspire and educate young creatives and students. Cape Town has Indabas, Jozi has conventions and now Pretoria has Hello Ambassador.

What exactly is Hello Ambassador?

Hello Ambassador (HA) was launched in Pretoria in 2013, and after a huge success, the organisers have decided to do it all over again and make it an annual feature on the capital’s calendar.  This conference was the first of its kind ever held in Pretoria.

Hello Ambassador 2014 will feature the best of South Africa’s creative talent over a two day event.  Speakers at this year’s conference are all leaders in their various creative fields, and range from acclaimed CEO’s to local entrepreneurs, well-known musicians and award-winning artists. Some of the speakers include Roger Ballen, Abey Mokgwatsane, Tim Horwood, Jana+Koos, Ryan Brussow, Louis Minnaar, Liam Lynch, Mariana O’Kelly, Kagiso Lediga, Kojo Baffoe, Michelle Constant, Michael Leslie, Uno de Waal, as well as many more creative industry experts.

The creative expo will assist local brands and companies to promote their inspired artifacts and services by providing them with a trading space.  There is also a design competition for emerging creatives and on the 18th, conference goers will be treated to a street festival featuring live graffiti, breakdancing, beatboxing and an open mic stage.

No conference is complete without a proper after party.  This will take place at a brand new venue in Pretoria called @The Sheds, a revamped warehouse located on Helen Joseph street opposite the Reserve bank. The After party will start at 18:00 on the 18th and will be free to conference goers and R80 to the general public. The line up includes an array of wonderful local talent such as Shadowclub. DJ Kenzhero, The Ts & Cs, AV shows and an extra stage to showcase emerging talent.


Tickets can be purchased through Computicket and range from R250 to R600. Discount options are available to scholars, students and block bookings of ten or more people. Only 500 seats are available!
