FuzigishI know its only the start of the week, but i can not contain my excitement for Halloween 2013 at Arcade Empire this Friday. If you have been to one of Arcade’s halloween parties before, you will know that it is one of the maddest parties you will ever go to! So if you have yet to decide on your halloween costume, get off you ass and get on with it!! Now, lets have a quick chat with the guys from Fuzigish, who will be performing on Friday night…

Fuzigish

fuzi-bandMA: They guys, please introduce yourselves and tell us a little bit of how you started out??

FUZIGISH. We been around for yonks. We play punk, ska and fusion jazzcore . We started out in a lil ol’ bar.

MA: You guys have been around for what seems like an eternity, what would you say has been the secret to your longivety?

We could be slightly crazy. I am sure of this. That is why the new album is called CRAZY FRIENDS.

The style we play is not really reliant on current trends or radioplay, so that helps.

We have alot of passion, but we realistic and don’t care about ‘making it’ or whatever you call it.

MA: Describe your sound in 5 words?

Maximum gischore maximum gishcore maximum.

MA: What bands inspire your sound, local and international?

Doesnt matter were it comes from. Inspiration comes in strange ways.

I am inspired by my dog Rusty. She is awesome. I also like spiders. Alot. did you know that spiders blood is blue?

MA: Where did the name come from?

It was a word created to describe our sound. It is cool to make up your own words. Like Sluggdung.

MA: Do you recall your first ever gig as a band? Can you describe it?

Sure do. A school friends house party in Parkhurst. It was classic. Half the people left and half the peope went nuts. It was nerve racking. I drank half a beer and was trashed. My mate Matt was playing lead guitar and stood up to play the lead solo in ‘Smells like team spirit’ and his guitar lead popped out the amp. That was before Fuzigish though, but the roots of Fuzigish started back then.

MA: You guys came “back” with a bang this year, what has been your stand out gig of 2013?

Crazy Friends launch party at the Bassline was awesome. It is strange that we ‘came back’ because we have been playing shows all the time and have had some of our biggest shows over the past few years. We just havent released a full length album for seven years. But that is cool. I am glad we are back!

MA: What track is your favorite to perform live?

At the moment – mmm – ‘grey soup’ of the new album is cool to play, but the truth is they all fun to play. In ‘blow my mind’ i get to mess around in the middle and do some spontaneous guitar solo stuff and I change it everyshow. I really enjoy that.

MA: What has you most excited about the local music industry?

Arcade Empire’s Halloween Party and the time Haezer promised to remix a Fuzigish song. I have also entered the world of album pre-production and helping artists and bands get ready for recording. That is exciting.

MA: To date, was has been some of your highlights as a band?

This interview 😛

MA: You going to be playing at the Halloween party at Arcade Empire, are you guys excited and what can we expect from your performance?

Yip. I believe it will be awesome and I hope the get alot of candy. We will suck the blood from your bodies and leave your lifeless corpses to float in the river styx for eternity…..just kidding. We will probably be performing fuzigish songs.

MA: Is there anything that you are working on that we might be interested in?

mmmmmm……uhmmmmmm………..mmmmm….welllllll……. i been working on my Japanesse. Konichiwa! Thanks YouTube!

MA: Where can people follow you?

To the end of the earth.

MA: Lastly, if you could open for any band in the world, current or past, who would that be for?

Fuzigish. I would like to go back in time and open for us. It would freak people out and might cause a wormhole, but it might not. Im willing to try it.

MA: Oh wait one last question….who parties the hardest?

Who cares?
