Each month we try and have a chat with one of the stores found at Park Acoustics, getting a bit more of an understanding of what they all about. This month we had the chance to chat to one of the coolest companies around, who do their best work with lasers and a little bit of design panache haha.. No seriously, these guys are really awesome, dealing in laser cutting, design and vinyl. They are called Industry. and they can be found at Park Acoustic this weekend, take a look at this interview we did with them..
MA: Tell us about your journey to where you are today, a little bit of your background on how you got started?
We decide to buy a laser cutter after we realised how much money my girlfriend gave to someone else to do her laser cutting for her wedding stationery company, Something New. After we got this new toy our imagination got the better of us and INDUSTRY was born.
MA: What inspires you to do what you are doing and how did you find your niche in the fashion industry?
Melané has a very bad Pintrest addiction so we get most of our inspiration from what she loves and likes on there.
MA: What type of person or companies are you targeting with your products?
Young creatives and professionals who likes different and unique ideas.
MA: You guys showcase at Park Acoustics each month, can you tell us how the Pretoria market has taken to your brand?
Luckily, we have been blessed to have received a awesome response by our fellow Pretorians.
MA: What has you most excited about our local design industry in general and the market?
There seems to be a new revival within the design community and we are very excited to be part of it.
MA: To date, what has been your best achievement?
Working with big brands like Jägermeister, Vodacom and Park Acoustics
MA: For those people that have never seen the Rabbit Run Market and Industry, what would your message be to them?
Where have you been all this time?
MA: Are you working on any other projects that we might be interested in?
We have a few projects that we are working on for NAD (New Africa Developments) that we are very proud of but we can’t tell you much more…. You’ll just have to wait for the photos on our pages.
MA: Where do you see yourselves in 5 years time career wise?
One word…. INTERNATIONAL!
MA: Where can people follow you guys?
